Sound Garden Workshops

Sound Garden is a LOLA annual event connecting nature and sound, taking participants on a journey through the woods, lead by music and sound. Click here to see a video of last year’s LOLA Sound Garden.

Composer and director James Everest, from the Twin Cities, creator of Sound Gardens, intertwines music, coming from 25+ hidden speakers, with the surrounding environment. In preparation of the June Sound Garden (happening on the 18th, 20th, and 21st) Everest and LOLA have worked with local students from Watersmeet, SOAR, and LOLA homeschool to create artwork decorating the trail through the woods.

LOLA has created these workshops the week before Sound Garden as a way for the community to participate in this wonderful event as well. All of these workshops are free, registration required, and all workshops will be geared towards creating something that will also adore the wooden trail of Sound Garden.
