LOLA has new Summer Teaching Interns

As the summer months approach, LOLA Arts is thrilled to introduce three talented and passionate teaching interns who will be leading a diverse range of classes for the community. These interns bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to the Land O’ Lakes Area, promising an enriching and dynamic summer program for all participants.

Meet Karissa, Nicole, and Alyssa, our dedicated summer teaching interns:

Karissa Richardson: A student at UW-Madison, Karissa is majoring in Information Science and English “Creative Writing,” with certificates in Digital Studies and Arts & Teaching. With aspirations of becoming a librarian and teaching artist, Karissa is eager to share her love for art with the Land O’ Lakes area. Her classes will inspire creativity and exploration, inviting participants to delve into the world of visual arts with excitement and curiosity.

Nicole Kuhnz: Returning for another summer to Land O’ Lakes, Nicole is a Marketing major with a Dance minor at UW-Whitewater. Last year’s experience as a dance teaching intern was incredibly enriching for Nicole, and she is thrilled to prioritize returning this summer. Nicole’s passion for dance shines through in her classes, where she creates a supportive and inclusive environment for students to express themselves through movement and rhythm.

Alyssa Imse: Hailing from Full Sail University, Alyssa is majoring in Music Production and is a multi-instrumentalist, proficient in drums, piano, and guitar. With a love for performing on any stage, Alyssa is excited to share her passion for music and theater with the local community. Her classes will foster creativity, collaboration, and confidence, providing students with the skills and inspiration to explore the world of music and theater.

This summer, Karissa, Nicole, and Alyssa will guide participants through an array of engaging classes, ranging from visual arts to dance to music and theater. Eager to hone their teaching skills and make a positive impact on the community, they are sure to provide an unforgettable experience for all involved.

“We are thrilled to welcome Karissa, Nicole, and Alyssa as our team of summer teaching interns,” says Jennifer Anderson, Executive Director at LOLA Arts. “Their passion, creativity, and dedication to arts education will undoubtedly inspire and empower our community members of all ages.
