LOLA Arts hosts a number of free, annual community events, adding to the overall vitality of the Land O’ Lakes community.
A ten-week summer concert series featuring regional musicians and a variety of music genres. This free event is (usually!) at the Snowflake building, (usually!) on Thursdays. Park and tailgate or bring your lawn chair and sit inside (or dance!) The RBA food truck and Dublin’s Paddy Wagon will be selling food. Fun for the whole family!
A site specific sound installation by composer James Everest takes you through the woods, while listening to the relaxing sounds of nature mixed with hidden speakers playing a variety of sounds, tones, and music. Slow down and enjoy the sounds around you.
LOLA is also offering four FREE workshops the week before, participating in photography, poetry, painting, or music, and contributing artworks from workshops to the Sound Garden (and then returned) Click here for more information on Sound Garden Workshops.
An art exhibit in LOLA’s front gallery (where the Artistree Gallery normally operates) with artworks from the surrounding Land O’ Lakes community, including Land O’ Lakes Elementary, SOAR Middle School, LOLA Homeschool Art, and, for the first time, Watersmeet K12 (UP). Over 169 pieces on display for the Month of March.
A weekend of ghoulish fun filled with ghost hunters, mystics, magic tricks (illusions), and a visit from the Scooby Doo van, all cumulating to the Zombie Crawl, a tour of Land O’ Lakes finest establishments, dressed up as zombies.
