Join LOLA's Caroling Hand Bells Band!
LOLA is a proud member of the non-profit Make Music Alliance and is thrilled to join cities and towns worldwide in celebrating Make Music Winter! This annual musical event takes place on the Winter Solstice, December 21st, and this year, LOLA is adding a unique twist with our first-ever Caroling Hand Bells Band!
This joyful, family-friendly event is open to all ages—no prior experience is necessary! Here's what to expect:
10:00 AM: Meet at the LOLA Building for a fun "band practice" session. Together, we'll learn to play Jingle Bells using colorful hand bells and boomwhackers.
After Practice: Parade to nearby local businesses, spreading holiday cheer as we perform Jingle Bells along the way and inside the shops as a special gift to the community.
After the event, participants will have the chance to win their musical instruments! All hand bells and boomwhackers used in the event, generously donated by Rhythm Band Instruments, will be raffled off. Plus, winners will receive color-coded holiday sheet music to continue their musical journey at home.
Celebrate the season with music, laughter, and community! Make Music Winter is the perfect way to brighten the year's longest night. We can't wait to make music with you!
Make Music day is presented by the NAMM Foundation and coordinated by the non-profit Make Music Alliance. Make Music Winter brings merriment to the winter solstice, celebrating with free live music performances, turning audience members into music makers. Over 35 cities celebrated last year, each in their own different way.
