LOLA’s Cookie Baking Contest, happening during Land O’ Lakes Three Bear Sled Dog Races weekend.
Make your best cookie recipe and bring to LOLA to be entered into the contest. There is no cost to register and there will be top three prizes for both Adult and Youth divisions. Please see full rules and information below. And join us Saturday, February 3rd at LOLA anytime between 11am-2pm for “Cookies, Music, and Art”. The 3 Bear Sled Dog races will have a horse drawn sleigh ride throughout town, making stops at LOLA, so come on in and warm up with cookies and hot beverages, listen to music, and even do a free art project.
KING ARTHUR FLOUR COOKIE BAKING CONTEST
- This contest is free to enter. You MUST use King Arthur Flour to enter this contest. LOLA will be handing out free, 3-cup-baggies of all-purpose King Arthur flour to participants, or you can use your own King Arthur flour. See below for more information.
- There are two divisions, Adult (18+) and Youth(under 18). Only one entry per person. Prizes for the top three in each division, see prizes below.
- Please bring ~2 dozen cookies wrapped on a paper plate (or can transfer onto a paper plate at LOLA; we just don’t want to be responsible for returning plates/containers/etc) See below for drop-off times.
Judging will be closed to the public and take place on Sat Feb 3rd from 9-11am with winners announced shortly after. Judging will be based on TASTE (50pts), APPEARANCE (25pts) and CREATIVITY (25pts). You can register online free below, but not necessary. Please call LOLA at (715) 547-3950 with any other questions.
Bags of King Arthur flour can be picked up from LOLA at the following times:
Thursday January 18th from 5:30-8pm in the gallery during Open Mic
January 30th and 31st from 10am-2pm in the gallery.
Please call us if difference pick-up arrangements need to be made, or you can also use your own King Arthur brand flour.
Cookies for the competition can be dropped off at LOLA during the following times:
Thursday Feb 1st and Friday Feb 2nd from 10am-3pm (office in back of building) or in the gallery Saturday Feb 3rd from 8-9am.
Entries are due no later than Saturday, Feb 3rd @ 9am.
Free and open to the public, anyone is welcomed to join us on Saturday February 3rd from 11am-2pm for “Cookies, Music, and Art”. Do some cookie taste testing and warm up with home beverages. Singer/songwriter Kate Royce will be performing songs from her Alaskan Sled Dog album at 11:30am-12pm and again from 1:30-2pm. And there will be a husky dog screen printing project in the art room open to all ages. This is a great free event for the whole family and we hope you join us for this community event.
