LOLA receives Wisconsin Arts Board Grant

LOLA is pleased to announce that our grant application to the Creation and Presentation Program has been approved and a grant for $2000 was awarded.

Funding this years instructors for the variety of classes that LOLA holds, will in-part be supported by this grant from The Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.

According to LOLA’s President, Lynn Richie, “We are so pleased to have this partnership with the Arts Board.  These funds will go a long way in hiring qualified instructors for art classes.  Not only will our residents and visitors who take our classes, receive quality instruction, but we are giving a job to an artist and fueling our economy.”

“For 2017, I am now able to hire additional teachers to be a part of LOLA’s programming.  We are grateful to the Wisconsin Arts Board and the State of Wisconsin for valuing arts education and believing that, exposure to all forms of art is important for the lives of our residents and children, especially in rural areas such as ours.”   Wendy Powalisz, LOLA Programming Director.
