
LOLA is delighted to introduce and welcome our 2025 summer interns to our vibrant community! These phenomenal interns are creative, curious, caring, and committed to sharing inspiring educational art opportunities with the young people who live in or visit our beautiful Northwoods.
Dori Hazen – LOLA Summer Events Intern
Dori, who is from Lac Vieux Desert, is passionate about creating meaningful art with positive energy and sharing it with others. You can find her this summer at LOLA’s Car Park Music Series and our other free public arts events sharing her engaging creative art projects for all!
Maya Moreau – LOLA Summer Teaching Intern: Theater, Dance, Music
Maya, who is from Detroit and Marquette, completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from Northern Michigan University. She was nationally recognized at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in 2024, securing her spot as an Irene Ryan Fellow. There, she earned a membership to the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. Maya has an immense passion for acting, music, dance, writing, and direction. She is so excited to meet her incoming students this summer!��
Sharron Van – LOLA Summer Teaching Intern: Visual Arts
Sharron, who is from Atlanta, is an illustration student at the Savannah College of Art and Design, minoring in drawing and graphic design. She is the co-founder of Artist R Us, leading sip-and-paint classes for all ages, and the co-founder of Sharrimeii, creating commercial stickers and prints while managing e-commerce and social media. An active muralist and aspiring book illustrator, she is excited to share her love of the arts with the LOLA community!
