World Make Music Day

Join the worldwide celebration of music on June 21!

See schedule below

All music events free and open to all ages.

LOLA is a member of the Make Music alliance.

Make Music Day is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 800 cities in 120 countries.

Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.  Learn more at  makemusicday.org .

Special Musical Classes  – LOLA will offer two free workshops Thursday, June 20, 2019, 10:00 a.m. – Noon   or  1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. as a part of LOLA’s Summer Art Venture & Make Music Day. A variety of music makers will be made during these special classes.  (Ages 5-6 must be accompanied by an adult.)  Colorful maracas, bongos and other instruments will be created.  Then join in on the fun of Make Music Day on Friday, June 21.  Bring your instruments to downtown Land O’ Lakes  and share your own music with the world. So the music dictates the emotion of the song.  Open Tab performs across the state.

7:00 p.m.     Rachael Brain  –  Dari-Maid  –  Professional singer & comedian, who performed in Las Vegas, Rachael brings an up-beat energy and retro sound to contemporary songs.
