Twill Basket

Diamond and Diagonals Twill Bowl

Basket Class with Dianne Mockler

Sept 26 – 27, 2024

10 – 4 pm both days

Intermediate + basketry experience required

$120  student fee

Inspired by Laura Lee Zanger’s four-block twill designs, this two-day “immersion in basketry” class features cathead corners and a center diamond design in two colors. An additional twill design is used for the sides of the bowl. The twill pattern creates the “step” between rows to form the distinctive diagonal swirl. Many color choices will be available, including an additional band of color on the inner and outer rims. Twill experience is a plus but not required. This is not a basket for a beginning weaver. This class will take place in the upstairs classroom.

Bring a bag of lunch and an old towel, a dishpan for water, and basketry tools if you have them.

Approximate size: 15 inches in diameter and 6 inches high.
