Cost: $15
Spend a ½ day of hands-on learning tips as to how to photo water with photographers Scott Pearson and Libby Scott. The location will be the Upper Penisula’s scenic waterfall – Bond Falls. As a bonus, fall colors should still be present! Please register using which mode of photography you’ll be using, either a smartphone or DSLR.
The class will organize/begin at the upper location (meeting at some picnic tables). If you park in the upper area, you don’t need a MI state park sticker. If you park in the lower area, you will need a sticker either day or year.
Bring your own lunch/snacks
Instructors: Libby Scott (smartphone) and Scott Pearson (DSLR Camera)
Supplies needed:
- Either a smartphone or a DSLR camera
- If using a camera, also will need a tripod and circular polarizer filter for the lens you plan on shooting with.
- $ for MI state parks sticker, if parking in the lower parking lot
Optional supplies for smartphone participants:
- Tripod- with a tripod mount for the phone
- Wide angle external lens- with filters
- Neutral density filter
- Polarizer filter
- Remote to take pictures without touching the phone
- Knee pads
- Microfiber cloth to wipe lens
Instructor Bios:
Libby Scott is an award-winning Northwood Photographer. She specializes in taking Northwood’s landscape pictures as well as images that capture “an era gone by.” Currently, she is focusing her attention on her photo gilding project where she hand-paints precious metals on her photographic images. Libby shows her work in several galleries through the Northwoods and lives with her husband, Doug, in the Star Lake area.
Scott’s photography focuses mainly on the Great Lakes regions of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the UP of Michigan. He currently lives in northern Wisconsin and enjoys the incredible beauty, both natural and man-made, that is found throughout the Northwoods. He is a self-taught photographer who continues to improve his work primarily through reading and making more photographs.
