King Arthur Flour Cookie Baking Contest

Wanna show off your yummiest, bestest, favoritest go-to cookie recipe? Have we got a contest for you!

Wanna taste a bunch of cookies, have some hot beverages, and do a free art project? Have we got an event for you!

LOLA’s Cookie Baking Contest, sponsored by King Arthur Flour, and happening during Land O’ Lakes 3 Bear Sled Dog Races, with Drop-in Art & Cookie Tasting!

Make your best cookie recipe and bring to LOLA to be entered into the contest. There is no cost to register and there will be top three prizes for both Adult and Youth divisions. Please see full rules and information below. And join us Saturday, February 4th at LOLA anytime between noon and 2pm for our Drop-in Art/Cookie Tasting Event. The 3 Bear Sled Dog races will have a horse drawn sleigh ride throughout town, making stops at LOLA, so come on in and warm up with cookies and hot beverages and even do a free art project.

KING ARTHUR FLOUR COOKIE BAKING CONTEST

– This contest is free to enter. You MUST use King Arthur Flour to enter this contest. LOLA will be handing out free, 3-cup-baggies of all-purpose King Arthur flour to participants, or you can use your own King Arthur flour.
– There are two divisions, Adult (18+) and Youth(under 18). Only one entry per person. Prizes for the top three in each division, see prizes below.
– Entries are due no later than Saturday, Feb 4th @11am. Please bring ~2 dozen cookies wrapped on a paper plate (or can transfer onto a paper plate at LOLA; we just don’t want to be responsible for returning plates/containers/etc)  Please submit written recipe when dropping off cookies.

Bags of King Arthur flour can be picked up from LOLA at the following times:

Saturday, Jan 28th from 11am-1pm (bags will be available in the Gallery room while McCall teaches a painting class)

Monday, Jan 30th, Tuesday Jan 31st, and Wednesday Feb 1st from 10am-4pm (bags will be in LOLA office around the back)

Cookies for the competition can be dropped off at LOLA during the following times:

Thursday, Feb 2nd and Friday Feb 3rd from 10am-4pm (office in back of building)

Saturday, Feb 4th from 10-11am.

Judging will be closed to the public and take place from 11-11:45am with winners announced shortly after. Judging will be based on TASTE (50pts), APPEARANCE (25pts) and CREATIVITY (25pts). LOLA’s DROP-IN ART & COOKIE EATING EVENT

Join us Saturday, February 4th, anytime between noon and two for this free art and cookie event, at LOLA. Located at 4262 County B in Land O’ Lakes, we will also be a sleigh ride stop during the 3 Bear Sled Dog races (click here for more info) 

Come warm up with some art! An adorable sled dog art project will be available to all ages, and enjoy some hot beverages and cookies from the cookie contest. All free.
