 IMMERSE YOURSELF IN BASKET WEAVING

Immerse yourself in basket weaving in this 2-day challenge class with Northwoods basket weaver and teacher Dianne Mockler of Park Falls, WI.  This large shopper style basket has it all – the graceful arch of a cathead, chase woven sides, triple twining, French randing in stunning colors, and the grand finale of a beautiful braided border!

Dianne has added an elegant border to an original design by Eileen Mirsberger of East Troy Basketry. Basket Size: Approximately 12 inches long x 22 inches x 12 inches high (excluding the height of the handle). All class materials are included along with a pattern by the pattern author and use of instructor’s tools.

Instructor Bio:  Dianne Mockler is a basket weaver and fiber artist who began weaving in 1996 and soon after shared her enthusiasm for the craft by teaching others to weave. She enjoys working with a variety of materials, and is especially interested in weaving baskets with a Northwoods theme, or natural materials such as birch bark, willow, pine needles and antlers. Her great great grandfather owned a knitting mill in Milwaukee in the late19th century; she believes she is honoring her heritage by incorporating wool and other fibers into baskets, as well as using wet felting and needle felting techniques to create basket embellishments.
