Join Lisa Krueger as she teaches you how to create a stunning painting with depth using a simple subject. Each painting will be different as you choose the leaves & arrange them as you wish. Get Ready for Halloween!
Witch bells are traditional talismans used in folk magic and spiritual practices to protect the home from negative energy, unwanted spirits, and curses. Their ringing is believed to clear spaces and ward off harmful influences.
In this class, you’ll create your own set of witch bells. All materials will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring any special items you’d like to include for a personal touch.
Class is limited to 12 participants.

Begin your adventure into the world of drawing with charcoal as Dr. Donna walks you through a variety of tips and tricks to get you started.
Explore the basic techniques of drawing with charcoal. Students will test-drive three most common types (willow, compressed, and charcoal pencil) while experimenting with shading (narrow to broad mark-making), blending (using a paint brush, blending stump, and tissue), smudging (with fingers), reversing out highlights (using eraser pencil and kneaded eraser), adding highlights with white charcoal, and preventing smudging with fixative).

Join Bobby Bullet St. Germaine, a singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, and elder from the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. As an artist known for country and folk songs, he has been performing for over 50 years, receiving accolades such as a Native American Music Awards Hall of Fame induction and a Lifetime Achievement Award. Beyond music, he educatesand mentors, sharing Native culture and songwriting with diverse audiences.

Lake Superior Rock Wrapping

Let’s wrap some Lake Superior Rocks! We’ll use leather, waxed string, and waxed cord to make designs on our rocks. There will be beads, keys, and driftwood that we can add! All materials will be provided, but if you have a favorite rock, bring it along! Limit of 10 people.

Cobweb Broom

Reach all those high corners where the spiders make their webs with your own handmade and designed Cobweb Broom taught by Sandy VanPatten! You will choose your broom handle, colored nylon string, and dyed reeds.
This hands-on class requires some arm and hand strength and is open to ages 16 and up. You will need to use your stocking feet to control the tension of the cord (on a spindle.) Footies will be provided if needed.
All materials are provided. You may elect to bring your own walking stick to use a broom handle instead of the options that Sandy will provide.
