Summer Arts adventure 23 – Theater

 

Theater Camp

 

Offered in two different sessions, Theater Camp will be led by our intern Maegan and is offered for kiddos ages 7-18. Participants will meet three times a week to learn, practice, stage, and at the end of the session, perform a short play. Each class meeting will include theater warm-ups, team-building exercises/ improv games in addition to play rehearsal.  Students should be at all or most of the class meeting times. Everyone will have a part.

Session One – June 26th-July 20th

A Knight’s Tale by Monroe Oxley

A knight’s quest is thwarted by a stubborn princess, and nobody can stop interrupting the narrator.

Performance on July 20th @2pm

Session Two – July 25th- August 10th

Tuesdays 12pm-3pm      Wednesdays 1-3       Thursdays 12-3

 

Pirate Treasure by Andy Pavey

Pirate Treasure is a tale of the most monstrous monsters and most villainous villains this side of the Seven Seas! – well, IF the pirates and the narrator can stay awake! On a forbidden island, buried treasure is fabled to be hidden. A bumbling crew must weather a terrible storm, battle pirates and an angry Kraken if they hope to unearth the ancient treasure.

Performance on August 10th @2pm at the Snowflake (bring your own chair!)
