Let’s Celebrate Winter in Watercolor!

In this one full-day workshop for beginning and intermediate watercolorists, you will experience Dale L Popovich’s unique step-by-step instruction in transparent watercolor. Teaching as a paint-along will allow the student to watch, go back and recreate what was just painted. Dale also stresses to his students to ask as many questions as they wish while he is painting. Bring your camera because he lets you snap photos along the way. He feels that sharing knowledge in all forms is the key to excellent learning.

During this workshop:

  • You will be painting the two paintings below.
  • Photos will be supplied from his personal collection.
  • Understanding the many colors of winter. You will investigate the many facets of the shades and hues of blue.
  • You will understand how temperature plays an important part in portraying snow.

Artist Bio: Dale is an award-winning watercolorist and teacher who is passionate about capturing the raw beauty of the American landscape with the fluid stroke of a brush. Dale was 80% blind 45 years ago, but after a cyst removed from his brain, and his vision fully restored (and having to learn to walk and write again) he discovered he could see more clearly, with his paintings reflecting a purity of perception.
