Anatomy of Trees in Watercolor
Trees are the most essential parts of any landscape painting. In Dale’s one-day workshop, you will learn the anatomy of trees. Understand how a tree grows and the different colorations it can have depending on the season and light of day.
In this workshop, Dale will discuss the importance of studying trees before attempting to paint a composition of this kind. He will show you how to use your brush and other tools to create natural-looking organic edges and variegated washes.
No other painting subject offers a better opportunity to allow the watercolor medium to become an active part of the creative process than painting trees and foliage.

Artist Bio: Dale is an award-winning watercolorist and teacher who is passionate about capturing the raw beauty of the American landscape with the fluid stroke of a brush. Dale was 80% blind 45 years ago, but after a cyst removed from his brain, and his vision fully restored (and having to learn to walk and write again) he discovered he could see more clearly, with his paintings reflecting a purity of perception.
