Eco-Prints on Paper

Learn basic eco-printing and book binding techniques!

Thursday, February 8, 2018 – 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Cost – $50.00

Adults & Teens – All materials supplied. – No experience necessary.

Deadlines for payment/registration extended to  Saturday, Feb. 3!

Using locally sourced leaves, we will explore eco printing and botanical contact printing on paper and use bundling techniques.  Students will create concertina folded paper bundles that may be used whole, as a small book, or cut up for collage or note cards.  While our papers steam, we will make covers for our books and learn basic leaf printing and bookbinding techniques such as stab stitch and pamphlet stitch.  If the sun shines, we will also be doing sun prints on prepared paper that can be incorporated into your book.

Eagle River clay and paper artist, gardener, and food advocate Debbie Jirick enjoys sharing her passions for working with natural and environmentally friendly materials with LOLA students.

No refunds will be given after the deadline date.

Parking is available behind the LOLA Center for the Arts building.

If area school districts close due to weather on the day of a LOLA class, LOLA classes will be canceled for the safety of our students and teachers.  In such an event, LOLA will make all attempts to contact students and rescheduled classes for a later date.
