THINK SPRING, THINK GREEN, THINK GLASS GARDEN FLOWERS

Join Cathy Palmer in this fun and creative class. Students will select from glass plates, bowls and cups to create a unique garden art piece. This glass “flower” is perfect for northern gardens – it does not need water and deer won’t like it. Industrial strength glue E6000 will be used to assemble the glass pieces together. This super glue is tough, waterproof and temperature resistant. After the glass pieces dry together, the metal garden stake is attached and ready for the garden!

Instructor Bio:  Cathy Palmer relocated to Land O’ Lakes, WI in 2005 to join the staff at Conserve School where she served as the Summer Program Director, Outdoor Programs Director and the Director of Student Life.  Prior to her career at Conserve School, Cathy spent 20 plus years as a Resident Camp Director at several camps in Wisconsin.  Her love for canoeing, camping and outdoor adventures equals her love for crafting and gardening.

“I dabble in many artful mediums and have a craft room full of beads, fabric, ribbons, paints and buttons to support my interests.  But perhaps my greatest fascination is with all things whimsical- especially fairy gardening.  My flower gardens are home to many tiny fairies, magical doors, and fairy houses – oh, and there are plenty of flowers too” – Cathy Palmer

Students Suggestions –
