LOla ARTS celebrates national youth art month

This year’s youth art exhibit is themed “Art Connects Us” and will be held from March 15 through March 26, 2021.

-Open to Public:  Monday – Friday (11 AM – 4:30 PM)

Each year LOLA Arts hosts young artists from the Land O’ Lakes Elementary School, the SOAR Charter Middle School and area homeschooled children. Approximately 80 works of art will be framed and exhibited. The exhibit will be held in the gallery room in the LOLA Arts building.

The Council for Art Education (CFAE) administers Youth Art Month. Youth Art Month encourages support for quality school art programs and promotes art material safety. The CFAE administers the program at the national level. The program provides a medium for recognizing skills developed through visual arts experiences, unlike any other curriculum subjects, including:

  • Problem-solving
  • Creativity
  • Observation
  • Communication

Art shows, special exhibits, fundraisers, and school and community activities take place annually, traditionally during March, to celebrate visual art education for grades K – 12.

Free event open to all. No tickets are needed to attend Youth Art Month events.
