Make Music Day is a free celebration of -music around the world on June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 800 cities in 120 countries.

Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. Piano & Fiddle – Classical and Folk music.
11-1 pm – Beth Hassler – Charlie’s Market
Violin & Viola – Irish Folk, World Music, Classical and Jazz.
11-1 pm – Jonathan Franke – Dawson’s Pier
Acoustic Guitar – Folk, Swing and Bluegrass
11-12 pm – Valerie Laabs –LOL Library

11-1 pm (times subject to change) – Traveling Band – Decade XS– Various locations
A flash band – not a flash mob!  Listen for the classic 80’s sound of DecadeXS as they travel around town!

1-2:30 pm – Electric String Band – Snowflake*
Formally known as the Woodland String Band – An electrified string group that plays classical, jazz, Celtic, fiddle, musicals, pop, and rock.

3 – 4 pm – Carol Mason – TJ Grizzlies
Autoharp- Traditional American, Irish folk, Scottish ballads, Hymns & Classical

4-5:30 pm – Bob Allen – Snowflake*
Acoustic guitar  – covering artists such as the Beatles, Tom Petty, Cars, Jason Mraz, Chris Stapleton, Fleetwood Mac, Johnny Cash and more.

6 pm – Musical Pontoon Parade & Sing-A-Long – Black Oak Lake Beach
Watch for the flotilla as it arrives near the beach.  Listen for songs we all know and love!  Sing a long if you like!
