Sourdough Bread Pull Apart Turkey
Saturday November 11th
Learn how to make a sourdough bread turkey pull-apart just in time for Thanksgiving! You will watch and learn how to make & shape & bake (and eat!) a pull-apart bread, AND get to take one home for you to bake and enjoy.
Through hands-on practice and demonstrations, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain confidence in making sourdough bread.
Additionally, you will take home an active sourdough starter, a proofing bowl, and dough that you can use to bake at home and enjoy now or freeze until Thanksgiving. Due to time constraints, we will not be baking anyone’s in class, only the demo bread we use in class to practice the shaping. (And some taste testing after, of course!)
Please bring the following items to class:
- A JAR to take home your starter in! A glass mason jar is easy, but anything clean with a lid. Check out this link here.
- A large rimmed cookie sheet, pizza stone, cast iron skillet, or baking steel. Something to take home your formed turkey sourdough on, minimum size 12”..a large circular pizza pan works too!
Instructor’s Bio: Gabbie LaCount is a mom of a 2 year old working full time and running my bakery business part time out of my home! We live just outside of Phelps, love all things outdoors and of course baking! Follow her bakery facebook page at here.
- If you would like to pay with cash or check, please call LOLA Arts at (715) 547-3950 to reserve your spot in class.
- Refund Policy – No refunds will be given after the registration deadline. Classes will only be cancelled due to weather if Northland Pines School district cancels.
