Loom Beading

Join our self-paced introductory beading class taught by local Ojibwe artist Tom Strobel! Discover the art of loom beading using a small metal loom. All supplies included: kit, needles, thread,, and vibrant seed beads in white, red, orange, black, and yellow*. Learn to create a beautiful pattern alongside fellow enthusiasts. You won’t finish your project in class, but you’ll leave equipped with skills to continue at home. With your loom, the possibilities are endless—bead anywhere, anytime! (*Kit may vary slightly from image)

 

  • If you would like to pay with cash or check, please call LOLA Arts at (715) 547-3950 to reserve your spot in class. Your spot is not guaranteed until we receive payment.
  • If a class is canceled a full refund will be issued. 
  • Refunds will not be issued after the registration date closes.
  • Students who request a refund prior to the registration deadline will be given the option of receiving the full amount in the form of a gift certificate for future classes OR a refund for the balance minus a $5.00 service fee.

Artist Bio: 

Tom Strobel, a resident of Land O’ Lakes, crafts and sells an array of traditional items including beadwork, baskets, spirit staffs, moccasins, necklaces, and war clubs. You can find his creations available for purchase at the Trading Post in Land O’ Lakes. Tom dedicates himself to his craft by beading every day and generously leads a free drop-in beading group at LOLA Arts on a weekly basis.
