ONLINE – Exploring Our Emotions Through Art – Intuitive Painting & Creating

Explore Your Emotions Through Art – Intuitive Painting & Creating with Artist Katlyn Koester

Pre-recorded online class released Friday, June 12

$20.00 donation is highly appreciated.

Some supplies needed. (see list below)

In this class students will be offered a safe space to explore their emotions through painting. Students will be led through a series of short sessions, using small sheets of paper, of visualizing and expressing emotions through intuitive art and mark making with watercolor paints and pencils, and journaling if the need arises.  Class will conclude with one larger intuitive painting to explore the question of “What next?”.  This is for anyone interested in trying art, no previous skills required as we may use the paints and watercolor pencils in nontraditional ways.

Led by Katlyn Koester, from an artist’s perspective on dealing with a difficult health diagnosis through art.  This class is not intended as a substitute for therapy sessions, merely one human with a passion for art, passing on knowledge discovered while on a self-care journey.  This course is for those who want a deeper connection to and understanding of their own emotions.  Please come willing to connect to and explore your emotions.

Artist bio:   Katlyn Koester is an artist living in northern Wisconsin. She graduated with a BFA in Studio Art from VIterbo University in La Crosse, WI in 2010.
