“Photographing Water”
with a DSLR Camera
Sept 20
9am-1pm CST
Location: Bond Falls, MI
Cost: $15

Spend a ½ day of hands-on learning tips as to how to photo water with photographer Scott Pearson. The location will be the Upper Penisula’s scenic waterfall – Bond Falls. When photographing water, cloudy skies are necessary. Because of this, we are scheduling the class in a three-day window, with the actual date to be determined on Monday, Sept 18th.
*when registering for this class, please add as a note which day(s) you can or cannot attend, as it will help determine which day to choose if the weather works for many * if you are not able to attend on the chosen date, you will receive a full refund
As a bonus, fall colors should be present!
The class will organize/begin at the upper location (meeting at some picnic tables). If you park in the upper area, you don’t need an MI state park sticker. If you park in the lower area, you will need a sticker either day or year. To avoid this, and having to climb to the top to meet the group, YOU WILL NOT TURN INTO THE MAIN PARKING LOT, BUT KEEP HEADING UP NEAR THE TRADING POST BUILDING.
Bring your own lunch/snacks
Supplies needed:
- a DSLR camera
- a tripod and circular polarizer filter for the lens you plan on shooting with.
- $ for MI state parks sticker, if parking in the lower parking lot
Scott’s photography focuses mainly on the Great Lakes regions of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the UP of Michigan. He currently lives in northern Wisconsin and enjoys the incredible beauty, both natural and man-made, that is found throughout the Northwoods. He is a self-taught photographer who continues to improve his work primarily through reading and making more photographs.
