Beginning Beading

Have you ever wanted to learn how to bead using a loom? Local Ojibwe artist Tom Strobel has offered to share his expertise by teaching an introductory class on beading using a small metal loom.  All supplies are included in the class fee – the kit, needles, thread and seed beads, with white, red, orange, black, and yellow* (not the exact same kit as pictured, but close). All students will make the same pattern in this class. You will leave the class with the knowledge on how to continue your project and/or start a new one.  With your loom, you can bead anywhere!

Artist Bio:

Land O’ Lakes resident Tom Strobel makes and sells beadwork, baskets, spirit staffs, moccasins, necklaces, and war clubs.  His work is for sale at the Trading Post in Land O’ Lakes. He will be a vendor at LOLA’s Art Harvest Festival on September 24, 2022.

  • LOLA Arts has lifted its mask requirement for in-person events and classes effective May 23rd, 2022.  LOLA visitors and students who want to wear a mask are more than welcome to do so. Moving forward, any mask or COVID-19 precaution policies or changes to current policies will align with the CDC recommendations based on COVID-19 community levels.
We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
