Learn to coil long leaf pine needles around a beautiful pottery base made by Sally Durkee of West Bend, WI. Students will choose from a variety of flora and fauna pottery designs. The split wheat stitch will be taught using artificial sinew. Depending on how much coiling you choose to do, you may not complete the basket during class, but students will leave with all the materials and skills to finish on your own. Known to LOLA students for her traditional basket weaving classes, Dianne Mockler will guide you in this unique art. Approximate size: 4 inches finished diameter All skill levels are welcome!
