Arty Hearts – Felt & Stitching

Join fiber friends, Denise Fauntleroy and Barb Benson for this fun felt and stitching class!

Thursday, February 13     10 – 12:30 p.m.

Adults $20  (all proceeds benefit LOLA)

All materials supplied. Beginners welcome!

Deadline for payment/registration: Feb 6

Create an Arty Heart to give your valentine, or to keep close.  Perfect to hang on the wall, or prop where a little “heart” is needed.

Denise and Barb will help students cut the felt to create various heart shapes, choose colors that compliment, teach basic stitches for finishing and embellishing with your own artistic flair.

Denise resides in Watersmeet, MI and when she is not crafting, cooking, skiing or watching the birds, she works for the ISCCW, as an Invasive Species Specialist.

Barn Benson lives in Conover, WI and enjoys working with wool as well.  Currently she is designing a Northwoods inspired table runner made in the tradition of primitive rug hooking.  She and her husband Dan are very active community volunteers and have been spotted ballroom dancing.

The instructors are giving LOLA a piece of their heart, as they will be donating their time and talents to teach students.  All proceeds from this class will go directly towards LOLA’s programming efforts.

**Optional – bring a scissors for cutting felt and an embroidery needle, only if you have them, otherwise they are supplied.

No refunds will be given after the deadline date.

Parking is available behind the LOLA Center for the Arts building.

If area school districts close due to weather on the day of a LOLA class, LOLA classes will be canceled for the safety of our students and teachers.  In such an event, LOLA will make all attempts to contact students and rescheduled classes for a later date. Please call the LOLA Office with any questions or concerns.
