- One-Day, Two Painting Sessions: Engage in two distinct painting sessions, each crafting petite scenes (7″ by 11″) – one in the tranquil morning light and another amidst the afternoon’s serene ambiance.

What to Bring
- Chair: A comfortable perch to support your creative endeavors amidst the natural splendor.
- Watercolors: Essential hues such as Sap Green, Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Burnt Sienna, and Cadmium Yellow Medium (strictly tube paints). Preferred brands include QoR, Holbein, Winsor & Newton Professional (excluding Cotman), Blick Artists’ Watercolors, or Royal Talens: Van Gogh, or Rembrandt.
- Brushes: Reliable tools to channel your artistic expression onto the paper.
- Toothbrush: For textural effects.
- 300 lb Watercolor Paper: Opt for Indigo Handmade Artpapers 640gsm/300 lb or Fabriano 300# watercolor paper – both cold-pressed, precut into two 7″ by 11″ pieces.
- 2B Pencil: A trusty companion for preliminary sketches and outlines.
- Kneaded Eraser: Essential for subtle adjustments and corrections during your creative journey.
- Drawing Board: A sturdy support for your artistic endeavors in the great outdoors.
- Neutral-color Masking Tape: Ensure you bring along masking tape in neutral tones (avoiding blue) to secure your paper and maintain focus on your artistic expression.
- Mixing Tray: Mijello Fusion 33-Well Airtight Palette or similar.
- Cellulose Sponge & Spray Bottle: This controls moisture and washes.
Meeting Point
We convene at LOLA, where you can collect your French easel before venturing to a brand new painting location in Land O’ Lakes—one different from last year’s. In case of inclement weather, rest assured, we shall continue our creative exploration indoors, gazing through the picture windows at LOLA.

- If you would like to pay with cash or check, please call LOLA Arts at (715) 547-3950 to reserve your spot in class. Your spot is not guaranteed until we receive payment.
- If a class is canceled a full refund will be issued.
- Refunds will not be issued after the registration date closes.
- Students who request a refund prior to the registration deadline will be given the option of receiving the full amount in the form of a gift certificate for future classes OR a refund for the balance minus a $5.00 service fee.
