Join artist and instructor Maureen Luzenski for a day of painting as you learn to create a charming chickadee on a hexagon tile. Students will work with acrylic paint, and Maureen will guide you step-by-step through the process. This class is perfect for painters of all levels who want to expand their skills while enjoying a relaxed, supportive environment.

All materials will be provided, or students are welcome to bring their own preferred paints and brushes.

Instructor Bio

Maureen Luzenski has been teaching and creating art for over two decades. She studied oil painting extensively, including 11 years of six-day seminars with Sherry C. Nelson, MDA, with a special focus on realistic birds. Maureen served as an adjunct instructor at Nicolet College in Rhinelander and Tomahawk for 11 years, and for five years she led popular paint parties at Diane’s Frame Shop in downtown Rhinelander, with some months welcoming more than 40 students.

In addition to teaching independently in Tomahawk, Maureen has taught several classes at LOLA and continues to share her love of both oil and acrylic painting. A dedicated member of the Lakeland Art League since 2001, she also served on its board of directors for 12 years.
