Dec 1st, 8th, 15th

Cost: $25 includes the use of a LOLA Ukulele during the session AND the use of the ukulele until school resumes in January.
Anyone can learn how to play the ukulele! In this entry-level class for youth ages 10 and up, students will learn how to tune the ukulele, do basic strum patterns and finger basic chords, and practice effectively, all while learning Christmas tunes. A ukulele may be checked out to use the rest of December after the class ends, to play at your holiday gatherings!
Thanks to an anonymous donor, LOLA has a ukulele and instruction book that you can borrow during this session before making an investment on your own. No music experience is necessary.
Supplies needed: a three-ring binder, and 15 minutes a day of practice time
Instructor Bio:
Jennifer Anderson holds an orchestra teaching license in WI, MN, and MA. In addition to being the Executive Director of LOLA Arts, she is active as a violin/violist/fiddle player and conductor in the Northwoods area. She took guitar lessons a few years ago after taking two summer Teaching Guitar Workshops and is using knowledge from this experience to provide opportunities for LOLA students to learn the basics of playing the ukulele.
