About the Class

Color, texture, expression—the use of fast-drying, low-odor, water-soluble acrylic paint is a valuable art-making experience! This workshop offers an overview of the possibilities of this versatile medium, as well as the choice of a concentrated focus for experienced painters. Beginners and those wanting a refresher will learn to mix colors and explore the various mediums. We’ll do a number of exercises based on technical experimentation, as well as responses to journaling, music interpretation and group discussions. After the initial exercises, you will work in the style of your choice—representational or abstract. Multiple demonstrations will inspire you. This class is for all levels, from absolute beginner to advanced artists. Some materials provided; see supply list for required materials.
