LOLA welcomes The Woodland String Band, which is a small ensemble (3 -5) of members from the larger Woodland Strings of the North, a group of 16 string, piano and percussion instrumentalists.  The Woodland Strings of the North was founded 20 plus years ago by June McDuffie, of Three Lakes. Current members hail from Land O’Lakes, Eagle River, Rhinelander, Tomahawk and Sugar Camp. The group is comprised of retired and current music teachers and intermediate to advanced musicians, some of whom picked up an instrument later in life and others who played in high school and then have reacquainted themselves with their instrument. New members are welcomed to join!

Kathy Klein, a retired Orchestra Director from the Beloit area is the leader of both groups.  The Woodland Strings of the North performs several times during the year – follow them on Facebook for performance dates and venues. The Woodland String Band performs at weddings, parties and smaller venues.  For more information about either group please contact Jennifer Anderson (715-617-0148), Karol Baugh (715-891-4589)or Jenna Crom (715-401-3351)

Selections will include;  American and Celtic fiddle tunes, Mariachi music, musical show tunes, light jazz, classical and pop music with a few extra surprises.
