Trevor Moore is a life-long musician having started playing piano at age 7. After hearing a fellow student play the drumset in junior high school, Mr. Moore began playing the drums in 1976. As a percussionist, Mr. Moore played in Orchestras, Jazz Bands, Rock Bands, Pit Bands, Marching Bands and a Dixieland band as well over his 20+ year tenure as a drummer. However, rock bands were always the focus during those years. It was during this time that guitar also became an interest. “I picked up the guitar by osmosis”, says Mr. Moore “from hanging around with so many different guitar players.” Upon relocating to Eagle River, WI in 2005, acoustic guitar became more than a passing interest; it became a way to earn additional income in an area that can be difficult to flourish in, financially speaking. Since becoming a resident of the great northwoods, Mr. Moore has played in many different venues with many different people. Mr. Moore’s set-lists vary but are firmly rooted in the classic, acoustic rock of the 1970’s by artists such as Neil Young, Pink Floyd, America, David Bowie, and a host of others. So, if you’re in the mood for some acoustic guitar with a little electric guitar and some electronic percussion thrown in for good measure, catch Trevor Moore at LOLA’s Porch Songs this summer.
