Brett Winters is a singer-songwriter based in northern Wisconsin. Inspired to write songs in late 2014 after a friend’s passing, he has spent the past five years quietly building his craft in the frigid winters of the Northwoods. Winters’ genre is best described as “old soul folk,” blending classic folk from the likes of Paul Simon and Gordon Lightfoot with the darker, more experimental nature of artists like Ben Howard, Gregory Alan Isakov, Radiohead, and Sigur Rós. His multi-layered lyrics are deep and sometimes whimsical, seeded with personal insights on human connection, dignity, and healing.
Location: The Land O’ Lakes Snowflake Ice Rink, 4331 County Road B, behind LOL Town Hall.
