“Flower Fantasy” Painting with Wool Zoom Class with instructor Laura Berlage

In this class, you will learn to stretch a felt backing onto an embroidery hoop and transform the beautiful array of hand dyed roving into your own unique design. This class will explore shape creation, color blending, and three-dimensionality. The attached photo is an example of what your creation might look like. You will be able to do your own color combination, given what is sent in the kit.
About the Instructor – Laura Berlage is a contemporary Renaissance woman who resides and works on her family’s century-old homestead farm located outside Hayward, WI. From fiber arts to creative writing, music to storytelling, she enjoys the magic of transforming an idea into form and overlapping narrative and visual. Laura received her MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College in 2011. She continues her passion for mentoring others to encourage creativity, imagination and expression through an engaged hands-on teaching approach.

-Foam or padded work surface and 8-inch embroidery hoop
