Eco-Printed Nature Journal

create your own Eco-printed nature journal with artist Debbie jircik!

All materials supplied. No experience necessary.

Deadline for payment/registration: November 8

Explore the process of botanical contact printing on paper.  Incorporate these papers as structure of your own unique hand crafted journal.  Learn some basic book structures with sewn in signatures based on the concertina (accordion) fold and incorporate other papers and add soft covers made with Circle of Life Studio handmade paper.  A resource guide is included.

All supplies will be provided but if you have special pressed leaves you’d like to use as prints in your journal, please bring them.

BIO:  Debbie Jircik – Eagle River artist/hand papermaker and student of natural dyes.  She has spent the past six years learning about growing and dyeing with indigo.

Students bring to class:

A bag lunch.

Dress for wet mess – an apron or smock.

Payment/registration deadline:  November 8

No refunds will be given after the deadline date.

Parking is available behind the LOLA Center for the Arts building.

If area school districts close due to weather on the day of a LOLA class, LOLA classes will be canceled for the safety of our students and teachers.  In such an event, LOLA will make all attempts to contact students and rescheduled classes for a later date.
