Deadline for registration and payment is Aug 30.

Join artist Debbie Jircik and explore natural components for dyeing and printing!  Eco Dyeing & Eco Printing Part 2 is a class for all levels.  For students who have taken Eco Dyeing & Eco Printing class before, expand your knowledge as we experiments with carrier cloths and eco-printing sample pieces on linen and have a discussion of preparing cellulose fibers for eco-printing and natural dyeing.

Discover plant materials cultivated, gathered from the wild, and remnants from the farmers market/produce aisle that create color as we experience dyeing on silk.  Think in terms of muted earthy tones in a range of colors.  Using a contact printing method, experiment with patterns made b y leaves.  Students will leave class with an eco-printed and dyed scarf and some sampler swatches of silk to use as a reference or in other projects, a resource guide and enough knowledge to continue experimenting at home.

Eagle River clay and paper artist, gardener, and food advocate Debbie Jircik will share her passions for working with natural and environmentally friendly materials with LOLA students.

No refunds will be given after the registration deadline.

Parking is available behind the LOLA Center for the Arts Building.
