Arrows Twill Bread Basket

$75 per person

Students will weave a bread basket using twill basket weaving style.  Twill arrow will be incorporated into the sides of the basket using variegated reed.

SUPPLY LIST – Students should bring: a small tub or bucket for water, old hand or bath towel ( may get discolored) scissors, tape measure, pencil and 12 clothes pins.  Instructor will provide some extra supplies as well.

Parking is available behind the LOLA Center for the Arts building.

About the Artist 

Nikki Morrison started weaving baskets and dream catchers in 1998 while living in Appleton.  One year later she moved to Land O’ Lakes and began doing craft shows in the area.  She taught her first basket weaving class in Oshkosh in 2002 at the Annual Spin-In Weavers Conference.  The following year, she began teaching classes regularly at Inspirations Craft & Hobby Store, then at the Kalmar Center in Eagle River through 2008.  She has taken a 10 year reprieve from teaching to  attend college and have her three children, now ages 10, 7, and 3.  She completed her Associates of Science degree through Nicolet Area Tech College in December 2016, and is getting close to completing her Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Management through UW-Stout.
